Class Description

(No Experience Required!)

Come join us and learn the basics of pistol shooting during this empowering event presented by St. Johns County Social Club!

We will cover basic safety, stance, grip, and use of sights. This is an opportunity to learn with other shooters who are new to the shooting or who would like a refresher on firearms handling and safety. Concepts will be covered with terminology anyone can understand and apply while handling firearms on and off the range.

If you are looking to purchase your first gun or update your ccw pistol, popular pistol models will be available to try on site.

The instructor will also cover best practices for concealed carry and realistic self-defense scenarios. 

20% of the proceeds will be donated to help U.S. Army Veteran, Korey Taylor, train his service dog!  Cash donations will be accepted onsite.

Eligible for a CCW Permit

Successful completion of this class will allow you to apply for a Concealed Carry Permit (CCW) in the State of Florida

 What To Bring

• Semi-automatic pistol or revolver
• Ammunition - 100 rounds
• Extra Magazines - 2
• Eye & Ear Protection (sunglasses and foam earplug work just fine)
• Close-toed Shoes
• Long Pants
• Water / Beverage
• Pen & Notebook

****Please bring a camp chair if you have one, part of this class will be lecture based (school circle style) where we will pass around training aids and discuss different topics!****
